Simeon Wallis Discusses Latest Market Trends, with New York Stock Exchange TV 

August 8, 2025 – Simeon Wallis, Chief Investment Officer and Partner at Aprio, joined New York Stock Exchange TV Live to share insights on the latest market trends. During the discussion, he provided an update on tariffs, the anticipated impact of the recent Federal Reserve meeting, and international investment opportunities.  

He highlighted sectors likely to experience change or opportunity, emphasizing the interaction between AI and various industries, not just the technology sector. He noted that tariffs can pose challenges for companies with limited buying power, which is evident in the consumer staples sector and that tariffs could also lead to an increase in manufacturing opportunities. 

Simeon noted that real estate and life sciences are worth watching for investment opportunities. Regarding expectations from the Federal Reserve, Simeon stated, “We’ve ended the era of easy. We don’t expect rates to be low like they were post-global financial crisis through 2022. The Fed is more likely to be gradual and methodical as it looks to lower interest rates, and we would expect them to pursue one to two cuts for the remainder of this year, and looking beyond that, one per quarter.”
