Who I work with
I work closely with all parties involved in the transition of ownership of dental practices, including practice owners planning for practice sales; dentists seeking to buy into or purchase a practice; and lenders, attorneys and landlords. I connect the dots and make sure all the details are handled to ensure successful closings and smooth transitions.
My specialty
I am a recognized dental industry leader with more than 12 years of experience guiding clients through practice transitions, mergers, real estate purchases, banking, debt restructuring and practice financing. My experiences with financing dental transitions for two of the largest dental lenders in the nation have provided me with both buyer and seller perspectives on virtually every type of transaction imaginable. I help dental practice owners understand the valuation of their practices for potential sales and the financial impact of selling on long-term personal wealth.

Throughout my career with Aprio, Provide and Bank of America, I have advised clients in over 1,000 dental practice acquisitions and facilitated more than $500 million in dental practice financing.
Unique things about me
I grew up in a small town in Ohio with a population of less than 2,000 people — to this day, it still does not have a stop sign. My small-town origins sparked my love of travel, and I have visited 45 of the 50 states in the United States. Throughout my career, I have been lucky to live in places like New York City, San Francisco and Charlotte.
When I am not at work
I love spending time with my wife, Karla, and our three sons: Grant, Gavin and Paxton. Most weekends you can find us at a sporting event or relaxing at home grilling out with friends and family. We also love to travel together, and I personally enjoy golfing.

Affiliations
I earned my Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Ohio Northern University College of Law. I was also a Dean’s List graduate from the College of Wooster, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. My civic affiliations include board service with the World of Good Organization.
