Who I work with
I work primarily with attorneys and other clients who are litigating or otherwise trying to resolve disputes or investigate improprieties.
My specialty
I perform substantive analyses of documents and data, draft expert reports, perform complex financial analyses and work closely with staff in all aspects of expert services. Having practiced law for nine years and accrued 20 years of experience in forensic accounting, I am able to work closely with attorneys to support their cases through strategizing, assisting with depositions of fact and expert witnesses, and drafting discovery responses.
Results I have delivered
I directed a substantial part of the Lehman Bros. bankruptcy examination as part of the largest bankruptcy in history, and I investigated dozens of tax shelters that resulted in settlements and judgments totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. As a damages expert, I testified in a theft of trade secret/conspiracy action that resulted in the second-largest jury verdict in Virginia for 2015. I also investigated alleged misappropriation of over $8 million and other assets of a decedent by a fiduciary in support of the largest jury verdict in Virginia for 2016.
Unique things about me
I have run with the bulls twice in Pamplona, Spain, most recently in 2022 with my son.
When I am not at work
I exercise regularly and pride myself on being the world’s “okayest” runner. I enjoy traveling whenever possible, especially to new and exotic places, and I am a big Baltimore Ravens fan. I also proudly follow my figure-skating daughter around for her competitions, and for years was an avid wrestling dad with my state-champ son, taking him to many matches and tournaments. I enjoy spending time with my family and our pet pit-bull, Roscoe.

I earned a JD from the University of Maryland School of Law (Order of the Coif, Maryland Law Review) and graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I am also a certified public accountant (CPA) licensed in Maryland and a Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Valuation Analyst.
