Who I work with
I work with the CEOs, CFOs and CIOs of high-growth technology companies and startups, operating in a variety of industries, who need help demonstrating their information security maturity to their customers.
My specialty
I specialize in helping organizations meet their information security goals through successful scoping, planning and implementation to obtain their certifications, such as PCI, HITRUST, ISO 27001 and SOC 2. I have served on both sides of the certification process, as a service provider and as leadership inside technology companies, which has given me valuable insights into a client’s perspective on what it’s like to implement and certify information security programs. In addition to ensuring that quality assurance is met on all our engagements, I provide my team with security assessment training.
Results I have delivered
I lead the design and implementation of a HITRUST compliance program for a client that successfully obtained their certification within nine months. This resulted in the enabling of millions of dollars in new sales for the client and served as a key consideration when the company was acquired for approximately $400 million.
Unique things about me
I spent three weeks volunteering for an NGO focused on social entrepreneurship in Guatemala.
When I am not at work
My family and I enjoy traveling and are always seeking out new adventures. I love encouraging my kids to step out of their comfort zone, whether that be through primitive camping, exploring a big city, or scouring hidden beach towns.

Affiliations
I received my Master of Business Administration in Finance and Economics and my Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Science from Kennesaw State University. I am a member of Kennesaw State’s Information Systems and Security Advisory Board and serve as a leader on the Grace@Work program for High Tech Ministries.
