Lexy Kessler Weighs in on the Talent Pipeline Problem in Accounting

March 11, 2024 – Lexy Kessler, partner and mid-Atlantic regional leader at Aprio, shared an update on the talent shortage within the accounting profession in an article published March 7, 2024, by Accounting Today. In this article, Kessler spoke of the efforts by the National Pipeline Advisory Group (NPAG) to address this issue.

Lexy serves as chair of NPAG. The group, comprising of 22 members, is working to conduct two surveys
tailored to accounting professionals and students that is aimed to tackle the “pipeline problem,” a term used to describe the crisis of talent scarcity within the profession. The group will share recommendations and strategies based on the data reported.
