I work closely with business owners and leaders in real estate and professional services businesses, such as legal, medical and dental practices.
My specialty
I specialize in strategic tax planning and growth consulting for corporations and partnerships. In my 20+ years in public accounting, I have gained a wealth of experience in consolidated multistate returns, trust taxation, audit, financial reporting, and internal controls. I help my clients identify tax exposures, mitigate tax risks, and maximize all available tax credits to support the profitability of their businesses.

My experience provides me with a higher understanding of my clients’ businesses to develop comprehensive strategies to reduce tax liabilities. I collaborate with other Aprio subject matter experts to help my clients react quickly to growth opportunities.
Unique things about me
I am passionate about animal welfare, and I spent 3 years actively involved in Greyhound dog rescue.
When I am not at work
I excel at raising athletes. My son plays competitive soccer, my daughter dances competitively and I love cheering for them and watching them compete. I love to chill out by listening to music (no music is bad music).

I earned both my Master of Science in Accounting and my Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. My professional affiliations include membership in the AICPA and NCACPA. I am also a former Treasurer of the Summerfield Charter Academy Parent Council, and I am a past Trustee and Treasurer of the Greensboro Historical Museum.
