Who I work with
I primarily work with executive leaders and owners of closely held businesses in the construction industry. My clients include architects, homebuilders, general contractors, specialty subcontractors and real estate developers.
My specialty
I specialize in providing tax planning and long-term tax strategy to my clients, in addition to advising on tax matters that arise from M&A activities. While a lot of CPA firms focus on prior-year tax impacts and tax compliance, I focus on forward-looking tax planning and am excited about helping clients make decisions that drive their future success.
Results I have delivered
I analyzed prior-year returns for a prospective client and found more than $300,000 of permanent tax deductions and credits that would have been lost otherwise.
Unique things about me
Before finishing my undergraduate degree, I lived in Europe for a three-week study abroad program in three countries, and then spent the rest of the summer exploring 10 countries all over Europe. I was even in Madrid for the final game when Spain won the World Cup.
When I am not at work
My three children keep me busy between reading, video games, theater, soccer and dance. When I have extra free time, I enjoy golfing and sailing.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northwest Missouri State University and a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. I am a certified public accountant (CPA) in Maryland and Illinois and am a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP). I am also a member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
