Dmitri Alexeev and Joseph Wallace Join Aprio as Partners

New hires expand the top 35 firm’s focuses on technology and affordable housing

ATLANTA/SAN FRANCISCO – Aprio, LLP, a nationally ranked business advisory and CPA firm, announced today that Dmitri Alexeev and Joseph Wallace have joined the firm as Partners in our Technology and Affordable Housing Segments, respectively.

Alexeev is based in San Francisco and will be leading Aprio’s national Blockchain and Digital Assets practice and helping grow the Aprio West Coast practice. He works closely with executives from start-ups to companies with over $500 million in revenue with world-wide operations and specializes in helping them build better tax governance and reporting with a focus on financial reporting, finance, and strategic planning. Building upon Aprio’s growing presence in Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area following Aprio’s combination with RINA earlier this year, Alexeev will share extensive federal and California tax controversy experience, including accounting method changes, with clients in the technology, blockchain, and renewable energy industries.

Wallace joins Aprio as a Partner focused on Affordable Housing tax compliance and planning, based in Birmingham, Alabama. With experience working on entire lifecycles of affordable housing projects, he will drive growth by advising clients through challenging structuring issues, including low-income historic deals, state tax credits, solar incentives and capital account problems. Aprio has been serving clients across Alabama since 2017 when the firm merged in Yeager & Boyd. Wallace’s strong technical knowledge and solution-focused leadership will further expand Aprio’s Affordable Housing practice across the nation.
