Simeon Wallis, the Chief Investment Officer of Aprio Wealth Management and the
Director of Aprio Family Office, will provide an economic update. Afterwards, Tom Neff
will moderate a panel discussion with Alan Vaughn, Partner-in-Charge of Aprio’s Real
Estate Practice, and Jeffrey Weil, Executive Vice President of Colliers in Walnut Creek.
Meet the Speakers:
Simeon Wallis, CFA, is the Chief Investment Officer of Aprio Wealth Management and the Director of Aprio Family Office. Simeon brings two decades of professional investing experience in publicly traded and privately held companies, as well as senior-level operating and strategy consulting experiences. He wears many hats in developing investment strategies for Aprio investment clients’ global asset allocation, including providing coordination and due diligence of private deal investments. In addition, he delivers economic and capital market perspectives for clients and Aprio partners to guide strategic planning.
Jeffrey Weil, SIOR, CCIM, MCR.h, is the Executive Vice President of Colliers in Walnut Creek. Jeffrey has specialized in the sale and leasing of commercial properties since 1976, including exclusive tenant representation of lease renewals, lease structuring, office facility relocation, laboratory and research & development, office property sales and build-to-suits. He is one of only 1,000 brokers in the U.S. to have earned the CCIM, SIOR and NACORE’s MCR.h. designation. He is the author and publisher of “Corporate Office Perspectives,” and has written numerous nationally-published articles on corporate leasing, subleasing, tenant representation and other topics.
Alan Vaughn, CFA, is the Partner-in-Charge of Aprio’s Real Estate and Construction practice. Results-driven, Alan advises clients on various 1031 exchanges, including reverse exchanges, partial exchanges and tenancy in common transactions. Creative, smart and calm, Alan advises clients in the structuring of LLCs and exit planning strategies. He is especially skilled in helping clients defer federal and state income taxes, saving money on purchase prices, and structuring transactions to add layers of mezzanine debt without violating senior debt restrictions.
