Maria is director of Aprio’s Manufacturing and Distribution Strategy and Design Services, with over 10 years of experience providing advisory and consulting services to senior and executive management. She specializes in providing strategy consulting, senior leadership development, business and professional coaching, lean strategy and deployment, and change management. Maria helps business leaders assess their current and future needs and guides them toward what’s next by developing their leadership capability.

Maria’s process focuses on technical and behavioral capability transfer, so that manufacturers can sustain improvements over time. Her structured framework of leadership coaching/development, Lean Six Sigma and change management guarantees robust process improvement and enhanced corporate culture engagement. Maria is known for helping manufacturers step out of their comfort zone and take risks that help them grow. She is thorough and direct, and she achieves business outcomes while meeting current regulatory and compliance policies in the process of improving performance.

Maria has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Management from Elizabethtown College and a Master in Business Administration for Executives (Strategy and Leadership) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, she earned her Lean Six Sigma Certificate from Villanova University and her Executive Leadership Certificate from Cornell University. She is currently in the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Business Coaching Certification Program through the Business Coach Institute in partnership with North Carolina State University.

Maria is a Certified Change Practitioner by Prosci in the ADKAR Model for Change Management. She is also MBTI and Center for Creative Leadership Assessment Suite Certified. Maria speaks fluent Spanish and Dutch Level A1. Her business experience transcends borders and includes engagements in North America, the Caribbean, Latin America and Europe.
