Who I work with
I work with high-net-worth owners of closely held domestic and international corporations and partnerships across Northern California and the West Coast.
My specialty
I help my clients create innovative tax strategies that support their businesses and personal financial objectives. My expertise includes planning and compliance for income taxes, international taxation, and state and local taxes. I particularly enjoy the challenge of helping clients navigate California’s tax regulations.
Results I have delivered
I have significant experience creating optimal structures and planning strategies for buy- and sell-side M&A transactions, as well as tax planning for equity compensation and helping clients create tax-efficient strategies for income/gain realization events. I recently helped a client shelter an income realization event totaling $20 million through advanced transactional tax planning.
Unique things about me
I developed a passion for endurance races in my late 40s, completing my first full ironman at the age of 50.
When I am not at work
I enjoy spending time with family and skiing with my kids. Playing rugby and scuba diving are a few of my favorite pastimes. I am also an avid Alabama Football fan ─ “Roll Tide!”

I earned my Master of Taxation from Golden Gate University and my Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama. I belong to the Golden Gate Rugby Football Club, and I am a former board member of Special Haven and the Special Kids Foundation.
