Sammy Freeman, CPA, MTX
Who I work with
Sammy is a partner emeritus in the Tax Services group at Aprio. He has more than 40 years of experience providing accounting and income tax services to small and mid-sized companies, nonprofits and their related entities. His dedication to the individuals, families and businesses he proudly serves has translated to a client list that spans three generations of taxpayers.
My specialty
He has extensive tax experience advising corporations, estates and trusts, as well as limited liability companies. Over the course of his career Sammy has worked closely with clients across a broad spectrum of industries including: manufacturing and distribution, real estate and construction, public relations and advertising.
Sammy is passionate about helping clients navigate complex taxation challenges. He has represented clients in federal and state income tax audits and various tax controversies. Sammy specializes in income tax planning for his clients and their businesses and he has deep expertise in multi-state reporting.

Before joining Aprio, Sammy was a partner at Magoon, Freeman, Spain & Jones, LLC. Sammy earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Berry College and his Masters of Taxation from Georgia State University. He is a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church.
